Journey Home

"Safety is not a gadget but a state of mind."

I will share to you our last day in the City of Love and our experience going home.

Our convention has come to an end. It ended by giving certificates, awards and token of participation and appreciation to the participants.

We already got a ticket. We are going to ride a ship....fingers crossed that we can go home safely because the news came out that there is a typhoon coming.

We packed our bags bringing all our pasalubongs and we're ready to go!!
First stop, SM City Delgado..since our departure time is 6pm and we left the resort at 1:30pm...so we still have a time to enjoy Iloilo City.

Now were finally on board in Trans Asia Shipping...

This is my bed bank..we choose to have a tourist room for our accommodation.. Inside the room, we got 8 beds and a small flat screen television where you can watch movies.
Outside our accommodation..there where many our tourist rooms.. The rooms were not too big nor too small..it's just okay though..for me..
I also went to see their upper deck where you can see the life boats and feel the breeze of the ocean.

The news report earlier said that there will be a typhoon coming..fingers crossed that we will all be safe in this journey home.
Hello there Sir Patty..he's been accompanying me in my on board tour.
The economy accommodation area.
Charging station and chillin' area.
Mini restaurant

Foods were good.
It's a brand new day..and thank God we survived in an epic ship adventure during  a typhoon..

We're at the roof deck of the ship..

Happy faces..we're home and  we're safe..
In the end, my experience was totally fun, informative and memorable with my College of Teacher Education Family.

'Till next PAFTE convention loves.

Steps to Enjoy Life that leads to Holiness and Wholeness

"God wants us to be blessed."

God knows that we cannot live a truly happy life without him working in our lives. I will share to you the six steps to enjoy life that leads to holiness and wholeness. This was presented during our PAFTE Convention in Iloilo City.

I hope you will learn something from this. Let's get it on!!

1. Live your life loving people.

Everybody loves a humble person.
Life is short. Cut out negativity, forget gossip, say goodbye to people who hurt you. Spend your days with the people who are always there.

2. Never take revenge.
Revenge is self-destructing. It will consume you till you are exhausted of every bit goodness in your heart.
If you take revenge, the first thing you kill is usually your own happiness.
"Hurting people would hurt people more."

3. Always keep in mind that you are blessed.
Probably this is one truth that you should hold deeply in your mind and heart. Nothing on earth can take this away from you.
Meditate on it, think about it, profess it, and declare it! Do this until your whole being is soak into this truth.
Many of us do not receive our blessings because we are too busy envying what other people is enjoying.

4. Establish an amicable speech pattern.
Right speech is crucial in attracting God's blessing and practically a good life.
The tongue can attract positive or negative life depending on what comes from it.

5. Always seek the good of others.
The Lord will never prosper the people who seek to make others suffer. He cannot be an accomplish to evil. Remember, God plans good things to those who plans good things for others.
"A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can't go anywhere until you change it."

6. Protect your heart from hurt.
Exert all the efforts to avoid pain and hurt no matter how true or false the words people are throwing against you.
Never let anybody rob you of your joy. Celebrate your life! Rehearse your blessings not your pains.
Never trust your tongue when your heart is bitter.

The Lord promise that He will always listen to your prayers.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and nor to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all you heart."
-Jeremiah 29: 11-13

God Bless Loves!!!

'Till next adventure then.

Exploring Iloilo: Day 3 "Foodtrip"

"Part of the secret of a success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside."

La Paz Batchoy is one of Iloilo's best-known signature dishes and a must-try delicacy served in restaurants all over Iloilo City. This noodle soup is made with miki (round noodles), pork organs (liver, spleen, kidneys and heart), chicken stock, beef loin, shrimp stock, and garnished with chicharon (pork cracklings).

It is best eaten at the batchoyan (batchoy stalls) in La Paz Market where it originated. The most famous places to eat batchoy are Ted’s, Deco’s, Netong’s, and Inggo’s. The “original” creator of the dish is not certain, but you may judge for yourself which among them serves the tastiest. When served with a bowl of batchoy, most Ilonggos would finish the kaldo (broth) first. It is customary to request additional refills of kaldo before finishing the meal.

Speaking of Batchoy (tsk..I'm starving while I'm writing this...) on our third day in Iloilo, it was the second day of the convention. My room mates planned to have a food trip and try to taste the famous Batchoy in Iloilo.
We went to SM City Iloilo to experience the famous Batchoy at Ted's.

I am still amazed on how clean the city was. They have a very long skywalk where you can have a picture taking with the mall and the highways.

Iloilo City at night. So calm and peaceful.

Our first stop for the search for best batchoy in town was at Ted's (Oldtimer La Paz Batchoy since 1945).

You can choose a variety of flavors at a very affordable price. Of course we chose the best seller, that is the Extra Super Batchoy with Hot Bread and Coke.

Mirror Selfie while waiting for our Ted's Batchoy to be served.

Oh my gosh!! It's smells so good..

It's so delicious!!! I literally finished the big bowl. The noodles was cooked well, the soup was great and the most exciting part of it was...it has a lot of pork and chicharon.. It taste heavenly.

Next stop was the Deco's La Paz Batchoy. It is located near SM Delgado Iloilo. Quite far from Ted's in Sm City Iloilo but I promise it's all worth it.

They also have a Pasalubong Shop where you can buy famous delicacies in Iloilo. So while waiting for our Batchoy, we use the time to shop for our pasalubong to our family and friends in Cebu.

Deco's La Paz Batchoy!

Deco's is also great. They have separate bowl of soup if you want more. They have also Hot Breads and a lot of chicharon and pork..Yum! Yum! Yum!

Ted's and Deco's taste different but both of them taste heavenly. They differ also in the presentation and the price of their batchoy.

So if you want to explore Iloilo, don't miss out the fun in tasting their famous La Paz Batchoy. Make your taste buds happy.

'Till next adventure loves.
