The Quest to the City of Love

"Live each day as if your life had just begun."

I really love travelling, exploring new places, meeting new people and learning new things. I was so blessed to join the PAFTE ( Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators) 44th National and 5th International Convention in Iloilo City.

I was so excited to go there and it's my first time to attend an International and National Convention and be out of town with my colleagues.

Iloilo City is a province of the Philippine located in the Western Visayas Region. It is known as the City of Love in the Philippines. It is rich in culture and tradition. The place is so refreshing and calm aside from the gentle and kind-hearted people.

Now before I could drawn you to how fascinating the city of Iloilo, let me share to you our quest going to the City of Love.

Our first ride going to Toledo City. Let's get it on!!!

Mind you people we did not use the easiest way of travelling (Plane ride). We decided to have the "Tracking". I believe this adventure is gonna be exciting. Our first ride was going to Toledo City. We rented a V-hire from South Bus Terminal to Toledo City. It costs Php 100 each. As early as 4:30 am, we are ready to hit the road.

We reached Toledo City at around 6:00 in the morning. We witnessed the vibrant rising of the sun at the Copper City with a Heart of Gold. We took a group picture with the "We <3 Toledo" but I don't know where did I save it.

Our second ride was a fast craft from Toledo City going to San Carlos City. We bought our tickets and waited a while for the fast craft to arrive.

Timeless Beauty!
Look how exhausted we are..it's just our second ride...more rides to go!!!

We rode the fast craft and I was so amazed on how clean it was. We are ready to hit not the road this time...but the sea...
Amazing view going to San Carlos City. God never fail to make me amazed by His beautiful creation.
We reached the San Carlos City Port at around 8am. Then we have to ride a tricycle going to the terminal for our third ride.
Yeah!! I'm the photobomber :P

Before hopping in the V-hire for our third ride, we decided to feed our tummies. We had our breakfast at the terminal to save time, money and effort. After eating our delicious breaky, we are ready to hit the road again.

We are almost there! We rented a V-hire from San Carlos City going to the City of Smiles "Bacolod". At first everyone was confused because the driver did not turn on the aircon, but later on we realized what the reason was....

We need to open our windows so that we can smell and breathe the fresh air by the country side. How amazing it was? Right? I wish I could experience this everyday!!!

Going down...

This was the area where the film "Everyday I Love You" was taken. It's still showing in theaters nationwide.

The road to forever!!!

I think going to Bacolod was the longest ride in this journey.

We even fell asleep. This guy smiling over here is the culprit!!! Taking pictures of the people while sleeping!! It's a crime...

After a long hours of riding, we are finally here! Hello there Bacolod. It's nice to finally meet you.

We immediately went to the port to buy a ticket going to Iloilo. This will be our last leg of the trip.

Departure Area

Off to Iloilo.!!!

Happy faces! We can already see you Iloilo!!

Finally we reached our destination safe and sound at around 1:30 in the afternoon. It was a long rode trip experience indeed. We rode a jeep going to Punta Villa, the Villa Resort where we are going to stay for 4 days and 3 nigths.

We are ready to conquer the Heart of the Philippines "The City of Love" Iloilo.

'Till next adventure loves. I will post part II of my Quest to Iloilo soon..

Xoxo Der.
