The Quest to the City of Love

"Live each day as if your life had just begun."

I really love travelling, exploring new places, meeting new people and learning new things. I was so blessed to join the PAFTE ( Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators) 44th National and 5th International Convention in Iloilo City.

I was so excited to go there and it's my first time to attend an International and National Convention and be out of town with my colleagues.

Iloilo City is a province of the Philippine located in the Western Visayas Region. It is known as the City of Love in the Philippines. It is rich in culture and tradition. The place is so refreshing and calm aside from the gentle and kind-hearted people.

Now before I could drawn you to how fascinating the city of Iloilo, let me share to you our quest going to the City of Love.

Our first ride going to Toledo City. Let's get it on!!!

Mind you people we did not use the easiest way of travelling (Plane ride). We decided to have the "Tracking". I believe this adventure is gonna be exciting. Our first ride was going to Toledo City. We rented a V-hire from South Bus Terminal to Toledo City. It costs Php 100 each. As early as 4:30 am, we are ready to hit the road.

We reached Toledo City at around 6:00 in the morning. We witnessed the vibrant rising of the sun at the Copper City with a Heart of Gold. We took a group picture with the "We <3 Toledo" but I don't know where did I save it.

Confident Girl

"Always act that you are wearing an invisible crown."
There's that girl who looks like she's got it all together. She's confident that she can face the world and chase her passions. She's already taking steps to reach her dreams, and the first one is believing in herself.
We can't help but want to be just like that girl. But you know what? You can be confident, too! For starters, build these habits of confident girls:
1. Believe you can be confident.
It's all about thinking positive and projecting an aura of confidence. The more you think it, the more it becomes a reality.
2. Practice the art of compliments.
Confident people are comfortable complimenting others and taking compliments well. When you make it a point to say something nice to people (just remember to keep it real), it makes both parties feel awesome, and it will also make you feel more confident to speak up and start conversations.
You'll realize how that could make you feel so much more confident and comfortable about yourself.
3. Take a deep breath and stand straight.
Do this little ritual every morning before you step out of the house. And then don't forget to put on your best accessory: your smile. Now take a deep breath, stand up straight, and then smile at yourself in front of the mirror.
Don't you feel a lot more confident already?
4. Give yourself a break.
We all love to say that nobody's perfect, but that's just so true. Accepting yourself for who you truly are, warts and all, feels liberating. It also means this: You're a wonderful work in progress. You're constantly finding ways to improve yourself, not to beat yourself up for your faults. When you find yourself wanting to lock yourself up at home or whispering "You're so stupid," to yourself after making a mistake, just shake it off and tell yourself instead, "Oops, better luck next time!"
5. Do something about that awkward feeling.
Is something bothering you? Be proactive! Get to know what's making you feel awkward or icky and do something about it, stat! When you're in control, you feel more at ease because you're free to do what you want and you can prevent unwanted situations from happening.
Be true to who you are. Why do you want to be a copy when you can be an original? Be proud of yourself. Accept your strengths and weaknesses then you can be a CONFIDENT GIRL.

Teachers' Day Out

A good teacher can be defined as someone who always pushes students to want to do their best while at the same time trying to make learning interesting as well as creative. (Mega Essays) When you say interesting and creative..it means you are making your students' learn while having fun. Speaking of FUN!! Teachers should give time to their selves to have fun and have a break.
I'm going to tell you my teachers' day out experience together with my colleagues in the College of Teacher Education.
We went to SM to play bowling at their SM Bowling Center.
Inside the bowling center, they have cute bleachers everywhere.

Hacienda de Granpa (Holyweek Special I)

It's vacation time..
Stress is over..fun times are coming!!!

Holy week vacation with my family this year was so awesome. We went to my mother's hometown and we got to experience how to live a life in the mountain. My mother's sisters and brother also went home so they got an instant reunion. Everyone stayed in the antic house of my grand father. It was so fun..there's a lot of food (yay!! you knew me!! I'm addicted to foods..nothing but foods)

We decided to visit the Fish Pond of my uncle where he cultured Tilapia fishes. There's about 3,000 small fishes in the pond.. I'm excited to eat them when they grow..hahahah..

Elocutionist Not by Nature

March is the month of graduation. My Alma Mater invited me to become their graduation speaker both in the Recognition and Commencement Exercises. At first, I was so happy and excited because it's definitely a dream come true for me. Then, I realized..what have I got my self into? It's a really tough job and I don't have the enough experience to share an
d to inspire the students. I don't know where to start in composing my speech..I don't know what to wear.. I'm totally confused... should I back out or should I face my fears.... I choose the later one.

Graduation came.. I went to school bringing my confidence (weeee??) and a piece of paper. I saw many familiar faces..my high school teachers, my neighbors and some acquaintances.. a lot of talking happened.. and it's my turn to have my very unprepared speech..
Simple outfit for the graduation.

Sesion de Fotos con Amigas en Fort San Pedro

You may wondering why is it important to have friendship goals. Well, humans are social creatures for the most part and our friends can be significant influence on how we think and behave.

My college friends and I have these friendship goals. We want to have a friendship-fun-photo-shoot and that goal was achieved with the help and cooperation of these bunch of gals. It was just a plan back then when we were in college and earlier this year we did it..

The experience was so fun...taking pictures...laughing 'till crying..and making memories!!
So let's get into the pictures and learn the golden rules of friendship.

The oldest, smallest, and well preserved colonial fort in the Philippines.

Fort San Pedro is our chosen location for our photo session. It's our first time to go inside this historical museum and we're very excited to explore the place.
Just before the camera rolls..let us take a groufie.
